Cheap on P/S 0.3 but revenue has stalled three years while margins erode and $4.3M cash burns — a value trap, not a bargain.
Cash & equivalents $4.33M · FY2025
BRCC's growth story is broken. Revenue has flatlined at ~$390–400M for three straight years (FY2023 $396M, FY2024 $391M, FY2025 $398M, just +1.7% YoY), yet the business is going backwards on quality: gross profit fell 14.4% to $138M (gross margin 34.6%), operating income swung to -$24.6M (-6.2% margin), and net income slid back to -$11.9M after FY2024's near-breakeven -$2.95M. A coffee company whose top line has plateaued while gross margin compresses is losing pricing power and mix at the same time — the opposite of what the low P/S is supposed to reward.
The balance sheet is the real problem. Cash fell 36% to just $4.33M against -$9.81M of operating cash flow — the company burned more cash from operations last year than it now holds, which is why shares outstanding jumped 33.9% to fund the gap. That dilution is the mechanism eroding per-share value even as the market cap looks 'cheap' at $115M. Equity is only $45.7M against $141M of liabilities (3.09x), and the accumulated deficit sits at -$135M. Current assets ($100M) still cover current liabilities ($76.1M) at 1.31x and long-term debt was cut 48.7% to $32.3M, so this isn't imminent insolvency — but the liquidity cushion is thin enough that another weak year likely means more dilution or new debt.
