Overcapitalized minority-led thrift trading well below book, but a one-time goodwill writeoff masks chronically sub-1% returns — own, don't add.

Net interest income $33.1M · FY2025

First, ignore the headline ratios: the $184K 'revenue' and 470x P/S come from a single fee-income XBRL tag (RevenueFromContractWithCustomerExcludingAssessedTax), not the bank's real top line. The MD&A shows the actual engine is net interest income of $33.1M, up 4.3% YoY on rising loan yields (5.15%→5.26%) and a $172.2M jump in deposits. The FY2025 net loss of -$24.8M is almost entirely a non-cash $25.9M goodwill impairment taken in Q3 2025; management's reconciliation shows net income before impairment and preferred dividends was still positive at $1.1M ($0.12/diluted share). So the business did not collapse — it wrote off acquisition goodwill.

The balance sheet is genuinely strong, not stressed. Liabilities/equity of 4.12x is very low for a bank, and the filing reports average-equity-to-average-assets of 21.49% — this is an overcapitalized institution. The 82.9% cash drop to $10.5M is benign: it funded a $154.9M reduction in borrowings, not losses. With $263M of equity against an $86.6M market cap, the stock trades at roughly a third of book value, and the goodwill is now gone so the discount is to tangible-ish equity.
